The goal was to make the best use of the available plot while creating bright, open spaces that support everyday family life.

Project Overview
This project involved designing a modern family home on a 10 Marla residential plot in Askari Lahore. The homeowners wanted a house that looked elegant from the outside while offering practical living spaces inside. The design follows a contemporary architectural style with clean lines, large windows, and a balanced front elevation. Every room was planned to receive natural light and fresh air without reducing privacy. The main objective was to create a home that feels spacious, even within the limits of a 10 Marla plot. Careful planning allowed us to include generous family spaces without making the house feel crowded.Understanding the Client’s Vision
Before preparing the first concept, our team spent time understanding how the family wanted to live in their new home. The homeowners requested separate areas for family gatherings and guest visits. They also wanted a bright kitchen connected to the dining area, spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms, and enough outdoor space for parking and landscaping. Since the family included three generations, accessibility and comfort were important. A ground floor bedroom was included for elderly family members, while the upper floor was planned with private bedrooms and a family lounge for the younger members. The client also preferred a simple design that would remain attractive for many years instead of following short term design trends.Our Design Approach
Every successful project begins with careful architectural planning. For this home, we focused on creating a layout that supports both comfort and functionality. The front elevation combines textured stone, smooth exterior finishes, and warm wood style details to give the house a modern yet welcoming appearance. Large windows were carefully placed to bring natural daylight into the living spaces while maintaining privacy from neighboring homes. Space planning played an important role throughout the project. The living room, dining area, and kitchen were connected to improve movement inside the house. Bedrooms were positioned in quieter areas to provide a peaceful environment for the family. Ventilation was another priority. Windows were arranged to encourage natural airflow, helping keep indoor spaces cooler during Lahore’s warmer months. This also improves indoor comfort throughout the year. For materials, we selected finishes that offer long term durability with low maintenance. Neutral colors were chosen so the house would continue to look modern as design trends change.Design Challenges and Our Solutions
Every residential project presents unique challenges, and this home was no exception. One of the main challenges was creating enough parking while keeping the front elevation visually balanced. We designed a spacious car porch without reducing the beauty of the entrance façade. Privacy was another important concern because neighboring houses were built close to the plot boundaries. Window placement was carefully planned to allow natural light inside while limiting direct views between homes. Sun orientation also influenced the design. The front façade was developed to reduce direct heat during the hottest parts of the day while still allowing daylight into the main living spaces. The project also followed the residential building guidelines for Askari Lahore. By considering these requirements during the design stage, the construction process remained smooth and efficient.Key Features
The exterior reflects modern residential architecture through its clean geometry, balanced proportions, and carefully selected finishing materials. The spacious TV lounge serves as the center of daily activities, while the drawing room provides a separate space for guests. The kitchen was designed with practical movement in mind. Storage cabinets, work surfaces, and the dining area were arranged to make everyday cooking more convenient. Bedrooms were planned to receive natural light while offering privacy and quiet surroundings. Attached bathrooms improve comfort for every family member. Additional features such as built in storage, a functional staircase, and carefully planned circulation reduce wasted space and improve the overall experience of living in the home.
